Industrial asphalt tanks can be classified according to structure, mobility, heating mode and usage function, covering various application demands of road construction, asphalt mixing plants and municipal engineering.

By mobility, asphalt tanks are divided into fixed asphalt tanks and mobile asphalt tanks. Fixed types are fixedly installed at mixing stations with large capacity and stable storage performance.

Mobile asphalt tanks are mounted on trailer or truck chassis, featuring flexible transfer and convenient field construction, suitable for temporary road projects and scattered construction sites.

According to heating method, they can be divided into heat conduction oil heating asphalt tanks, electric heating asphalt tanks and direct coal-fired heating asphalt tanks.

Heat conduction oil heating type has uniform temperature distribution, small local overheating risk and low asphalt aging degree, which is the most widely used mainstream type in industrial applications.

Electric heating asphalt tanks feature clean energy, simple operation and no exhaust pollution, suitable for environmentally sensitive areas and small-scale engineering projects.

Coal-fired heating asphalt tanks have low operating cost and strong heating power, adapting to remote construction sites lacking power supply conditions.

By structural layout, there are vertical asphalt tanks and horizontal asphalt tanks. Vertical type saves floor space and is suitable for centralized layout of large mixing stations.

Horizontal asphalt tanks have lower center of gravity, safer operation and more convenient maintenance, favored by medium and small asphalt processing stations.

According to thermal insulation performance, they can be divided into ordinary thermal insulation asphalt tanks and high-efficiency thermal insulation sealed asphalt tanks, with differences in energy saving and constant temperature effect.

In terms of functional design, there are single-layer storage asphalt tanks and integrated stirring asphalt tanks, the latter equipped with circulating stirring device to prevent asphalt stratification and solidification.

Understanding the main types and classification standards of industrial asphalt tanks helps engineering users select the appropriate model according to site conditions, capacity demand and energy configuration.
